Signature items give a boost that is unique to each hero. They can be found on the hero page underneath the helmet slot. Signature items go from 0 to 30, but the four main breakpoints at +0, +10, +20, and +30.

To upgrade a signature item, you need emblems. Upgrading from 0-10 requires 220 silver emblems, 11-20 requires 240 gold emblems, and 21-30 300 requires red emblems. Red emblems are also known as faction emblems because they are different types of emblems for each faction, and a hero needs emblems of their own faction. Red emblems more commonly come in the form of red chests that work for any faction.

Red emblems are significantly rarer than silver and gold emblems, so it’s important to make sure that you spend your red emblems wisely. When you first unlock them, you’ll also quickly run out of silver and gold emblems, but over time you can +10 and +20 many of your heroes.

Similarly to furniture, we’ll give you a sample roadmap of what order to upgrade your heroes’ Signature Items, and then afterwards, we’ll put them into brackets and you can upgrade them based on your needs.

General First Signature Item Upgrades: Daimon +20 or Izold +30, Rowan +30, Ferael +20, Tasi +15, Lyca +20, Kren +20, Oden +20, Raku +30, Thoran +30, Lucretia +30

This is a list of what signature items are great, good, and mediocre. Remember that how much you use the hero is more important than the tier of the signature item. Prioritize the value you will get out of the hero getting the effect over which bracket they are in. If you are using someone a lot and their effect is good, then they are a good contender to upgrade. If you are planning on using someone in a Top/High Tier soon, then it is a good idea to save your upgrade materials for them. The format is as follows: Hero - Breakpoint - Description

Top Tier Signature Items

This tier is reserved for heroes relevant to common meta teams, and are transformative for heroes, meaning that they are defining effects for the hero it is on.

  • Rowan - 30 - Hands down one of the best support enablers in the game. Each upgrade from 10, 20, 30 makes it better. That energy potion he gives is just good for so many heroes that carry teams with their ultimates.

  • Daimon - 20 - When Daimon kills enemies, he will now steal some of their stats for the rest of the fight from the +10. The +20 lets him steal even more. This is insane as he will then become stronger based on how strong the enemies are, giving him essentially infinite scaling for campaign. Getting him to +30 when you are out of key +30s to do is also very good and makes him more consistent.

  • Thoran - 30 - This lets him carry cheese comps much easier. He does function at +0 at a rudimentary level, but this is truly transformative for him and lets you once again clear stages at unlimited deficits.

  • Fereal - 20 - One of the best effects for one of the best disruptive heroes in the game. This lets him reduce the damage enemies do, and also prevents the enemies from healing, and will be one of your main sources for countering pesky healers like Nemora and Ulmus.

  • Lucretia - 30 - She’s an absolute badass. She starts soloing enemy teams at Mythic +30. She wants all the buffs she can get. Every spike from Mythic +30 to Ascended 3f to Ascended 9f will feel very good when you use her. Full investment is deserved.

  • Raku - 30 - The +30 effect for Raku is what lets him actually do damage as he is quite useless beforehand. He will start doing massive damage based on HP cuts to every enemy that is controlled and lets him become a set defining damage dealer.

  • Oden - 20 - Oden’s signature item increases both his haste and attack rating as he uses his abilities. With his SI his damage, energy reduction and CC are all amplified. Oden +30 is also great to do down the line once you have the important +30s done. He likes all the investment he can get similar to his furniture.

  • Izold - 30 - This one becomes Mid Tier once you reach chapter 35. He’s an absolute beast similar to Lucretia once he gets his ultimate off and can solo the enemy team. He is a great hero for Graveborn Tower as well. The issue in later game campaign is that he simply does not have the time to get set up and starts falling off then. Absolutely fantastic if you ascend him beforehand and want him to carry you then.

  • Albedo - 30 - She buffs the attack and defense of your other dimensional heroes. Essentially a must have in any Ainz or dimensional-centric team. Absolutely fantastic. Top tier waifu.

  • Alna - 30 - Alna’s real must-have effect is from her 9 furniture. She is deserving of all the investment she can get. She’ll do fine at +20, but her +30 with the effect and the stats are quite nice to have.

High Tier Signature Items

This is for upgrades that are quite good for already good heroes, just making them better as a straight upgrade.

  • Ainz - 30 - Ainz’s real must-have effect is from his 9 furniture. He likes all the investment that he can get. He works totally fine at +10 and +20 but like I said, the more the better.

  • Kren - 20 - Each upgrade for Kren, similar to Oden, is very good. He works fine at +20 and 0 furniture, but you’ll be happy to do his +30 and 9 furniture later down the line. Great carry and very satisfying to watch him do work.

  • Grezhul - 20 - Grezhul’s +20 allows him to heal whenever one of his skeletons dies. This effect is critical to keeping Grezhul alive when he’s tanking damage. Quite fundamental if you intend to use him in campaign. Core for his survivability.

  • Eironn - 10 - This signature item has two effects, it causes enemies hit by Eironn’s ult to be frozen and increases Eironn’s damage to frozen enemies. The +20 causes Eironn to do more damage, increasing his capability as a carry. The +30 doubles the freeze duration and is a strong effect, but is lower in priority due to the fall of Eironn’s usage outside of 5-pull. He gets haste on his +5, +15, +25 but the less you use him for the carry, the less investment he really needs.

  • Tasi - 15 - Her signature item effect isn’t all that great, but the haste she gets on +5, +15 and +25 is amazing for her. Given the strength of Tasi as a hero, giving her +15 can noticeably increase her performance. Since she’s likely to be used around the time you unlock signature items, she has a great SI to get early on.

  • Pippa - 20 - In addition to making Pippa do more damage, she also makes an ally immune for 5 seconds. This is used sometimes with Thoran, and any immunity effect in the game is always really good. Solid all around.

  • Lyca - 20 - This effect persists for a few seconds after she dies as well. Her existence on the battlefield will basically increase your entire team’s damage output. Very good, and you use her extremely frequently. Her +30 gives you a marginal increase but is not recommended until you’re basically done with literally everything else that is good.

  • Silas - 20 - He’s lower down in the Graveborn ascension order, but a great hero nonetheless. His +30 is also needed for when you want to maximize his damage. His +20 is the major breakpoint as this is another hero that can be a source for countering healers like Ferael does.

  • Arthur - 20 - One of the staple tanks in the game, and he will buff allies behind him with the +20. Later in the game, when you are out of must-have +30s, his is quite good as it makes him tankier.

Mid Tier Signature Items

These are effects that don't do too much for great heroes, but since you use them, it's a solid pick anyway, or it is good for lesser used heroes.

  • Tidus - 20 - This signature item actually has a really strong effect of 70% damage reduction after an enemy’s health goes below 50%. However the absence of Tidus in campaign comps combined with the fact that his +20 is only a small increase in damage reduction puts his signature item in mid tier.

  • Skreg - 10 - The ability of this signature item is to reduce the energy needed to activate Skreg’s ultimate to 500 which is quite strong. However Skreg has limited usage in campaign so his SI priority is lower as a result.

  • Gwyneth - 20 - She’s your carry for Lightbearer Tower. She can get you pretty far at +0, but later on you’re really going to want this. She’s rather fallen off in campaign, but still a notable mention due to her necessity in the tower. She gets 5 more haste on her +25, which is something to note later down the line.

  • Raine - 10 - Raine’s signature item causes the ally with the highest power to gain 50% of the energy that raine gains in addition to their own energy regeneration. It’s a pretty good effect when used correctly and can help funnel energy into carries such as Kren, Daimon, and Thoran. She is also used in combination with her 3 furniture for boss fights such as Guild Hunt and Abyssal Expedition.
